Are you the disruptor in your family lineage?

And why you may feel like an outsider.

The family template that you are born into is the training ground for your soul to learn through limitation. Here, you take on inherited karma and conditioning as a way to grow and expand as a soul. We purposefully move through this learning process where your life path and experiences become the road map for your medicine that you are here to share with the world, but also it holds all the lessons your soul wanted to learn in this lifetime.

Many souls have incarnated into lineages as a disruptor, and this is purposeful to heal what has been denied and supressed for too long. As a child you may have felt energetically what others didn’t express or what was met with silence. You learned to interpret the room but deeper than that, you understood the emotional currency of those around you.

This is where your role in that family system was always about revealing what had been in the shadows for too long. The disruptor is here to illuminate the shadows by paving a new path to take the lineage into a new timeline.

Often, souls who are incarnating into these family lineages are here to clear and heal heavy Karma. We are a living, breathing energetic blueprint of our ancestors and the lives they lived flows through us. What was not healed and integrated, we may hold that emotional imprint and karmic pattern as we are called to heal those wounds. As children, you may have taken on those projections and displacements that have been denied or rejected within your family dynamics.  This meant that your frequency reflected back to your family all of those rejected and wounded parts which is why you may have felt like an outsider looking into a world you couldn’t fit into, no matter how hard you tried. Essentially, before you had the language or understanding, you had that inner knowing, that felt sense of what was out of alignment.

What if the challenges with your parents and your family is the preparation for you to achieve your soul purpose?

Parents embody the very energy that is going to support you to achieve your soul’s purpose in this life, and whatever challenges you faced with them, it has been the very preparation for you to live your truth – it is like the road map for your soul’s remembrance. In many ways, it is like they hand you the keys, but it is up to you to unlock your full potential. They may hand you pain, but maybe this is for you to turn that pain into love. You then have the choice to become what they couldn’t achieve by healing what they were unable to face.

One of the most profound healing experiences for me was when I was able to see through a different lens. I realised that the emotional imprints and karmic patterns interfered and prevented a connection with my family because what we are really seeing and interacting with is the conditioning and pain carried through the generations. Likewise, if you experienced a challenging relationship with your family, then they are also seeing you through a distorted lens. As children you reflect back to them their own pain, trauma, and unmet needs that they have struggled to face or chosen not to heal, often not knowing how to heal. This is that karmic contract and until it is healed, it keeps replaying.

Choosing to heal

Forgiveness may take time, but this it isn’t about forgetting what has been done to you or the experience you endured. These experiences may change you, but they do not need to define you. Here, you are invited to create your own story and that which transcends the narratives and patterns that have been passed down by your ancestors. Forgiveness is an act of self-love which is the healing balm for your soul. When you can shift the perspective from victimhood to what is this teaching me, you then release yourself from this energetic contract between you and that soul.

From my own healing journey, forgiveness came when I could look at my own shadows. From this perspective, I could see what I was projecting onto to my parents and onto others. This shifted how I saw my parents and for the first time I could recognise them and see beyond the conditioning. I had been able to give to myself the love that had been withheld from me by my parents and family. This helped unwind the original wounding that did not start with me or even my parents - We are often playing out a pattern that began some time ago and it is this inherited karma that we are trying to resolve through these connections.

The acceptance came when I could acknowledge that my parents were also souls having a human experience, carrying the emotional and karmic imprints – and through this lens I could see them with compassion. To truly heal the pattern that caused a fracture or wounding, is to understand the role in which you have also been playing in these dynamics - this then supported me to move from judgement to freedom.

Healing can happen when we can see it through a new lens and when we experience this shift, we are no longer seeing through our childhood conditioning but from a learning perspective.

When I talk of healing, I am referring to the physical, emotional, ancestral, karmic, energetic healing. We are layered and healing is often layered as we discover deeper parts of ourselves. Often when we are faced with a familiar pattern, we are being invited to see how much we have grown in our understanding around this. We grow in awareness as we move through these layers. The opening to deeper healing is through the body which holds these imprints and is being communicated to us all the time.  The body is a living, breathing map of everything you have experienced and what you have also inherited. By bringing your awareness to what is happening in the body, it allows you to feel where these patterns and imprints are being held. Start by noticing that sensation, tension and pain held in the body, what is it communicating to you. Just slowing down to witness it and to tune in allows space for release. Maybe you can feel that tenson in your chest, or that pain in your shoulder. We can often overlook these sensations because we haven’t been taught how to be with them. As you give space to what is emerging, you are then building inner awareness of how your body has mapped your experiences which can lead to deeper transformation.
